Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
Essays
Development of a topic in the areas of Physical-Mathematical Sciences and Earth Sciences; Biology and Chemistry; Medicine and Health Sciences; Education Sciences; Humanities; Social Sciences; Agriculture, Agricultural Sciences, Forestry and Ecosystems; Engineering and Technological Development; as well as Interdisciplinary fields, with the purpose of providing readers with a simpler explanation of these areas and their relationship with the improvement of our quality of life, the promotion of our own technologies, sustainable solutions to current challenges, and the transition of our societies toward fairer and safer communities.
The document may be up to 20 pages using the journal template; it must include an abstract between 150 and 200 words and 4 to 5 keywords. Since this is an outreach publication, figures are necessary for understanding the topic, and authors are encouraged to include as many as needed.
Note
A secondary, brief, and concise communication of new discoveries and technological developments, characterized by being easy to understand.
The document may be up to 5 pages using the journal template; it must include 4 to 5 keywords and an abstract between 150 and 200 words. Since this is an outreach publication, figures are necessary for understanding the topic, and authors are encouraged to include as many as needed.
Book Review
A document that does not include an abstract, keywords, or images. It is a brief critical text that analyzes and evaluates a literary work, combining a summary of the content with the reviewer’s supported opinion. Its purpose is to inform readers about the most relevant aspects, such as plot, style, and characters, and to offer either a positive or negative evaluation in order to recommend or discourage its reading.
A book review may be:
- A scientific outreach review.
- An academic support review for upper-secondary or higher education students in the study and use of science and engineering.
- A support review for academics in the teaching of science and engineering.
